I write comedy, mainly topical sketches and oneliners. I’ve done bits of script editing and script consulting. I like working with other people on funny ideas and always happy to hear about possible collaborations or new projects.

Newsrevue – The World’s Longest-running Satire Show, performed 4 nights per week at Canal Cafe Theatre, London. New Director and cast take over for each 6 week run. Regular credits from 2014-2017 (full details below), then work and parenting took over for a while. Started submitting again and getting bits of material in the show in 2020, until lockdown. Have since had bits featured in the Newsrevue Podcast.
Newsrevue is a big, silly lots of fun show and I really like the way they’ve brought my sketches to life, even going along with some of my more ridicuous and hard-to-stage ideas (e.g. playing the reanimated corpse of The Reverend Ian Paisley, or two actors playing sausages in a fridge trying to Cumberland themselves into a ring).
Other
I have been a script reader for Sheffield Theatres (Autumn 2022), and script consultant on some season 2 episodes of the web-sitcom A Comedy of Gamers.
I regularly have sketches featured on the Write Funny segment on Sheffield Live’s Write Radio show.
I sometimes have things performed elsewhere too, such as the Sketch Please podcast (Episode 8. Job Inkterview sketch,Episode 10. Flatpack Stonehenge sketch,Episode 11. Netballers sketch) and Wingspan Comedy live show. I’ve also co-written a couple of short films and acted in one of them
- The Role That Ruined My Career (2014), co-writer and actor (playing the part of ‘The Director’).
- Self Catering (2017). Co-writer.
